What is Jamie’s Place?
Jamie’s Place provides a “Home with a Heart” for elders who need long-term care in the Methow Valley. Our skilled caregivers are trained to support and preserve each person’s abilities – and to learn what makes life meaningful for every resident. Jamie’s Place is known across the Pacific Northwest as a thriving, loving home full of life and vitality for elders and staff.
We’re entering an exciting phase of growth and are seeking board members and advisors who will contribute time, talent, and heart.

About the Board
Jamie’s Place is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to our mission and to the elders we serve. The Board:
Supports and champions staff who provide daily care
Ensures financial health and sustainability, including fundraising for elders who cannot afford the full cost of care
Provides mission-based leadership, strategic governance, and program oversight
Collaborates with community partners to address valley-wide needs such as workforce training and housing
Day-to-day operations are led by our Executive Director and Associate Director, who oversee high-quality direct care. The Board works closely with leadership to ensure all aspects of the mission are supported.
Strategic Expansion for Jamie’s Place
We’re growing to meet the valley’s needs.
After nearly two decades serving 12 elders at full occupancy, Jamie’s Place is building a new, high-quality home in Twisp for 24 elders – three connected houses, each home welcoming eight residents. The new site sits two blocks down Twisp Avenue toward the Methow River from Glover Street, in the heart of town.
This expansion will:
Double resident capacity while protecting quality and caregiver wellbeing
Create 30 caregiver jobs and establish a training hub for valley-wide care
Reserve more rooms for financially vulnerable elders; we hope to increase the number of rooms offered to elders with financial needs
Launch a generous $4 million endowment to ensure long-term support as it grows over time
Meanwhile, we continue raising funds annually for roughly one quarter of current residents who cannot afford the full cost of care.
