About
Resident Health & Wellness
At Jamie’s Place, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our residents and caregivers are at the heart of everything we do.
From daily routines to emergency preparedness, our approach to care is grounded in prevention, compassion, and attentiveness. The lessons we’ve learned through years of providing care – including during the COVID-19 pandemic – continue to shape how we protect and nurture our community every day.
We follow the highest standards of health, wellness, and public health practices, including:
Healthy Work Practices: Staff members monitor their health daily and stay home at the first sign of illness.
Hygiene & Cleanliness: Handwashing, surface disinfection, and safe environmental practices are a regular part of daily life.
Ongoing Health Monitoring: Residents are gently observed for changes in health, and community clinicians assess residents monthly to support proactive, person-centered care.
Medical & Therapeutic Support: Through partnership with Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, residents receive in-home physical and occupational therapy, as well as compassionate end-of-life care when needed.
Personal Protective Equipment: PPE and safety supplies are readily available and used as appropriate to protect residents and staff.
Ongoing Training: All caregivers receive continuing education in infection prevention, emergency response, and resident safety.
Connection & Comfort: We believe health is also emotional and spiritual. Residents are supported through meaningful community connections, including Methow at Home, local musicians, and spiritual support from within the valley.
These practices help us respond not only to COVID-19, but also to seasonal flu, colds, and other community illnesses — while maintaining the warmth and connection that define home.
At Jamie’s Place, safety and care live side by side – creating a home where elders can thrive in body, mind, and spirit.
