Micheal Pritchard

Michael came to the valley in the early 80’s working a variety of jobs over the years from forestry to recreation. He met many of Jamie’s Place’s current residents over the course of those years. Volunteering as an EMT for Aero Methow Rescue Service gave him an awareness of the vulnerability of elders living in this valley far from definitive care. Michael got to know Jamie’s Place more intimately when his mother was a resident and witnessed how comforting it was for elders to live in a familiar place, close to family and friends while receiving excellent care. This inspired him to join the board. He brings many years of building experience to the board and is focused on assuring that Jamie’s Place buildings and grounds are safe, efficient and comfortable for it’s residents.

Peggy Porter, MD,

Peggy spent her career in cancer research at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center and University of Washington leading a lab and serving on multiple national and international cancer-related advisory boards. She has served on the Jamie’s Place Board and on the Methow Conservancy Board for 6 years. She and her husband Rolf moved to Winthrop in 2016 where Rolf spent the last years of his life cared for beautifully by the wonderful staff at Jamie’s Place. Their compassion and creativity continue to inspire her support for this wonderful organization.
