THE SAFETY AND HEALTH OF OUR RESIDENTS AND STAFF ARE OUR TOP PRIORITIES.

Jamie’s Place would like the Methow Valley community to know that, in light of the coronavirus pandemic, we have been, and are continuing to take proactive steps to ensure the safety of residents and staff.  The staff and board are carefully monitoring CDC and state recommendations and adhering to the highest standard for all operations including the following measures:

o   In accordance with state policy, we are happy to say that residents may now have scheduled visits with friends and family. Masks must still be worn at all times.

o   All staff are practicing social distancing and will not be at work if they have cold or flu symptoms, fever, or contact with a sick person. All staff are monitored as they come to work by taking temperatures and watching for symptoms

o   Staff and residents have been trained in proper hand washing and environmental protection procedures

o   All surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant daily

o   Residents are being closely monitored for any signs of illness

o   Personal protection equipment has been stocked for use in case someone should become ill

o   A back up staffing plan is in place in the event that a staff person gets sick.

o   Skype and FaceTime communication with family members is available for residents

Jamie’s Place staff are in contact with local healthcare providers and has access to testing for the virus for residents and staff if needed. Isolation plans are in place should the need arise.

We are proud of the steps we have taken and feel that all these measures are key to keeping the staff and residents safe, healthy and calm. Thank you to all who have expressed concern and to all who have helped secure this vital and very vulnerable facility.
